About FritzenLab
Who is behind FritzenLab?
I’m Clóvis Fritzen, a Brazilian electrical engineer and electronics technician with more than 20 years of professional experience, mainly working with power electronics and home automation.
I’ve been working with electronics for a long time, both professionally and as a personal interest. Over the years I’ve worked with electronic circuits, embedded systems, microcontrollers, power electronics, measurement equipment and many other areas of electronics.
FritzenLab is where I document some of what I’ve learned along the way.
What is FritzenLab?
I’ve been writing about electronics and embedded systems since 2014. I started with Blogger and later moved to WordPress and my own domain.
The purpose of FritzenLab is simple: to share practical knowledge about electronics in a way that is useful and easy to understand.
Here you’ll find articles about subjects such as:
- Electronics fundamentals
- Arduino and ESP32
- Embedded systems
- Microcontrollers
- Sensors and measurement
- Electronic components
- Power electronics
- Programming
- Automation
- Electronic projects and experiments
- Troubleshooting and practical measurements
A lot of the content comes from things I’ve actually built, tested, measured, repaired, or studied. When I write about a circuit or project, I try to explain not only what works, but also why it works and, when relevant, what didn’t work along the way.
Why FritzenLab?
There is no shortage of information about electronics on the internet. The problem is that technical information is not always presented in a way that is easy to understand, and sometimes important details are left out.
My goal with FritzenLab is to do things differently.
I try to explain engineering concepts in practical terms, show real measurements and experiments when possible, and document the reasoning behind projects and solutions.
The site is also a record of my own experiments and learning. Electronics is a huge field, and there is always something new to investigate.

FritzenLab in Portuguese
FritzenLab also has a Portuguese-language website at [FritzenLab.com.br].
The two websites cover many of the same general areas, although the articles and content are not necessarily identical.
Thanks for visiting FritzenLab, and I hope you find something useful here.
